James Fadiman, Ph.D. co-founded Sofia University in Palo Alto and taught psychology in three universities, and Design Engineering at Stanford. He has consulted to Dow Chemical, a Federal Reserve Bank, IBM, Lockheed and SRI among other clients. He has been the president of two natural resource companies and has managed and is on the boards of several non-profits. He has published textbooks, self-self books, professional books and one novel. His most recent book, The Psychedelic Explorer’s Guide: Safe, Therapeutic, and Sacred Journeys, includes a full description of the creativity studies referenced above. He is finishing a novel and lives with his wife Dorothy, an activist documentary filmmaker, in Menlo Park, California.
