Founder, Mortified stage show and podcast

David Nadelberg is a writer, producer and host. He is best known as the creator of Mortified, a grassroots storytelling project where adults share the embarrassing things they created as kids. Over the course of 14 years, he grew Mortified into a “a cultural phenomenon” that includes stage shows in over a dozen cities worldwide, a series of books, a weekly podcast, and various film and TV projects. He is currently producing and hosting The Mortified Podcast in partnership with PRX and Radtiotopia. Nadelberg hosted two seasons of Sundance TV’s acclaimed interview series The Mortified Sessions, which featured intimate conversations with personalities ranging from actors to rockstars to CEOs. In 2013, he produced the documentary, Mortified Nation. His work has been celebrated by This American Life, Entertainment Weekly, The Today Show, Time, Wired, LA Times, Boston Globe, Us Weekly, Talk of the Nation, and All Things Considered. He lives in Los Angeles, where he’s working on a memoir and is usually enjoying a bowl of soup.
