On Our Minds: The Poetry of Race

On our minds this week is the continuing racial tension in our country. And Poet Claudia Rankine’s book-length poem about race really got us thinking.

I enjoy your weekly podcasts because of the intellectual vibe. It is jarring when I hear the interviewer say "begs the question" inappropriatetly. This phrase refers to a logical fallacy. Please make the interviewer aware of this minor nitpick; I would want someone to let me know when I misuse a term. This happened in the "hoodie/poetry" conversation near the end of the "New African Voices" episode.
