The tsunami of cheap credit that rolled across the planet between 2002 and 2008 was more than a simple financial phenomenon: it was temptation, offering entire societies the chance to reveal aspects of their characters they could not normally afford to indulge. Michael Lewis investigates the bubbles beyond our shores in his sadly hilarious book, Boomerang:  Travels in the New Third World. 



Your usual high standards were seriously compromised with Lewis report on Greece. You stereotyped the Greeks in the same manner as the most nationalistic Germans. Here's a report I just read which balances Lewis' reportage:

Maybe a follow up story on the health effects of world-wide depression would be informative.
