July 27, 2003

Historian James Tobin is the author of “To Conquer the Air: The Wright Brothers and the Great Race for Flight.”  He tells Jim Fleming the Wrights started with gliders and were competing with the Smithsonian to build the first motorized flying machine.

Wouldn't this story make a great feature-length movie? Mr. Tobin has dome a wonderful job creating the "script" and the cast of characters. I think we owe it to the Wrights!
