Barbara Fredrickson

Dr. Fredrickson is Kenan Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Positive Emotions and Psychophysiology Lab at the University of North Carolina. She is a leading scholar studying positive emotions and human flourishing. Dr. Fredrickson has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and with the publication of Positivity and Love 2.0 she has written about her research for general audiences as well. Dr. Fredrickson’s contributions have been recognized with numerous honors, including the American Psychological Association's Templeton Prize in Positive Psychology and the Society of Experimental Psychology’s Career Trajectory Award. She lives in Chapel Hill with her husband and two sons.
